Beef

The WCC are currently in the process of setting up a partnership, one that we anticipate as another long term partnership, that will see the development of a cattle grazing enterprise.

This business, like all the others, is tied in with the core issues which were negotiated in our Ancillary Deed with the Barrick mining company, namely, a priority for the environment. It is a priority because, by being a proficient environmental carer, we reinforce our traditional custodial role for our land, which is so integral to our culture.

Together we have recognised the worldwide popularity of Wagyu Beef, and so will be growing 100% fullblood Japanese Wagyu beef. This business would make us only one of only 2 producers in Australia.

So, through a combination of outstanding industry and product knowledge, our beef will be aiming to achieve extensive market penetration.

The property is based outside Condoblin, in the heart of the Wiradjuri nation, has 2km of Lachlan River frontage and is fully irrigated. It was selected for it's natural billabongs and old river red gums allowing the cattle to be raised in a natural and clean environment.

The Beef will be transported to local abattoirs before being packed and shipping out to market. From the paddock to the plate!
